Andre Johnson has finally reported to the Houston Texans training facility in preparation for training camp that starts tomorrow, according to ESPN.
Johnson, who requested a trade a couple weeks ago, and sat out OTAs and mandatory minicamp, finally decided that he would join the team, even though it’s well-known he may not want to be part of a rebuilding plan at 33-years-old.
“I love playing the game of football. I don’t plan on walking away from this,” and added “I feel very comfortable with the way things are going,” he said at NSG Stadium.
NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport put the cherry on top of the great news with this tweet:
As for Andre Johnson… he told reporters today: “I feel very comfortable where the organization is going.” Music to #Texans ears.

For Texans, fans, this is great news. Now, it seems more than obvious that Johnson is planning to stay with the team, at least for one more year.
