Why Ryan Shazier’s first camp is just how he likes it

Pittsburgh Steelers 2014 first round pick Ryan Shazier has found out that if he likes to go through the motions, he’s come to the wrong place.

“I really liked the intensity,” said Shazier. “It’s exactly what I was looking for. It was what the guys were saying it was going to be.

How is Sean Spence holding up after a devastating knee injury

Sean Spence, the Steelers third-round pick in 2012 has seen very little of a professional football field since coming into the league.

Spence suffered what many considered to be a career-ending knee injury during the preseason of 2012.

Now, Spence returns to the field and the coaches love what they’re seeing.

Spence said of the injury:

“I wouldn’t say I doubted it, but it was definitely tough. I cried myself to sleep sometimes at nights. It was tough watching the games, sitting in meetings and not being a part of the team or the game plan.”

But, like most football players, once they’re on the field, “It felt like back to football.”
