Here’s to football. Here’s to the game we love.

Happy August, Denver Broncos fans.

With the beginning of August today, you can say goodbye to summer soon and take solace in knowing fall and football are right around the corner.

For your Broncos, they’re into Day Nine of training camp down in Dove Valley, preparing for another run at a Super Bowl in the team’s relentless pursuit of a third Vince Lombardi Trophy.

Countdown to football

We now have less than a week until preseason begins, let’s take a look at the other game days:

Days until scrimmage at Sports Authority Field at Mile High Stadium: 1 (Saturday, 10:45 a.m. MT)

Days until preseason Game One against the Seattle Seahawks: 6 (August 7, 7 p.m. MT)

Days until preseason Game Two at San Francisco 49ers: 16 (August 17, 2 p.m. MT)

Days until preseason Game Three vs. Houston Texans: 22 (August 23, 7 p.m. MT)

Days until last preseason game at Dallas Cowboys: 27 (August 28, 6 p.m. MT)

Days until regular season opener versus Indianapolis Colts: 37 (September 7, 6:30 p.m. MT, NBC)

Broncos football is back! And without a doubt, it’s one of the most exciting times in team history to be a fan.

With John Elway in charge and Peyton Manning at the quarterbacking helm, Denver’s in a place to legitimately compete for a championship for a third straight year. With one of the league’s toughest schedules staring them down, the Broncos will have multiple difficult tests before the playoffs which should only strengthen their resolve in time for the preseason.

So, get ready for Broncos football, it’s right around the corner!
