This morning the Cincinnati Bengals announced a new deal for quarterback Andy Dalton. The contract runs for six years and is worth a total of $115 million. It means the Bengals have made a major investment in Dalton and clearly have faith in his abilities. As for the internet? Not so much.
Within moments of the announcement the social media sphere lost its collective mind. Most people seem to be flabbergasted that the team would throw so much money at a quarterback yet to win a playoff game.
Here are the greatest reactions that we found on Twitter:

That is one god awful contract for Andy Dalton. Wow. What are the Bengals thinking? The ginger can't play especially in the playoffs.

So, what do you think? Did the Bengals give too much to a quarterback whose numbers are inflated by great wide receivers? Or did Dalton really earn all that money?
