Quoted on ClevelandBrowns.com, Brian Hoyer had some nice things to say about second year defensive end, Barkevious Mingo.
“He seems to be around the ball a lot, and he’s so fast and so long,” said Hoyer. “His arms are down to wherever they go, and his hands are up there. I know he didn’t bat the ball, but he catches it and he takes off and he’s running 4.5 down the field. It’s nice to have a guy like that who can also come off the edge. I know there were a few times where I rolled out and he was right there.”
Mingo stuck out in a good way at the scrimmage over the weekend and it’d be a huge boost to this defense if he can have a year like they expected when they drafted him.
He’s a young kid but he’s a freakishly athletic dude so we will see just how much he can bring to this Cleveland Browns team in need of play makers.
