The Houston Texans recently wrapped up their seventh day of training camp. Once again, certain players were shining while others continued to struggle.
According to John Harris of the Texans official site, DeAndre Hopkins had a huge day. He made cornerback Brandon Harris his victim throughout the session, out-running him by a mile before hauling in a long touchdown pass from quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick.
Harris also claimed that Hopkins had a few other long catches, and that he’s someone to strongly consider on your fantasy football team.
Although it’s well-known the Texans have one of the league’s better offensive lines, it’s still good news to hear that center Chris Myers and Ben Jones were a strong tandem in blocking. Also, rookie Xavier Su’a-Filo was doing well in giving the quarterbacks time to throw.
Also, the Texans have already had Mike Thomas shine during practice, but Harris points out that Keshawn Martin has excelled at the slot receiver position so far in Bill O’Brien’s offense, and was very good with his route-running.
With Hopkins having a big day at training camp, one would hope that he really is primed for a breakout year.
