In arguably one of the better burns in recent Twitter history, New York Giants punter Steve Weatherford displayed his typical social media shenanigans Tuesday afternoon with a hysterical photo and accompanying joke of kicker Josh Brown.

Long have nerds been the bane of an athlete’s existence. But who knew the 31-year-old punter could be so cruel?

Of course, one follower replied with a great rib of his own on Brown:

This season will be Brown’s second with the Giants. He is currently competing with rookie Brandon McManus of Temple for Big Blue’s starting kicker gig. McManus spent training camp with the Indianapolis Colts last season but ultimately never truly had a shot to beat out potential Hall of Fame kicker Adam Vinatieri.

Last summer, Brown beat out former Cowboys kicker David Buehler in training camp after spending 2012 with the Cincinnati Bengals. He converted 23 of 26 field goal attempts with a long of 52 yards.

NOTE: It’s also worth noting that Weatherford got Brown’s Twitter account wrong. Brown’s Twitter can be found at @kickingitwith3.
