Report: Drew Brees feeling better at Saints training camp

Amid reports that New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees might sit out this weekend’s preseason debut against the St. Louis Rams, some fans expressed concern that Brees may not be ready to go for Week 1.

Today we learned that Brees is in fact feeling better. Head coach Sean Payton told reporters as much during his press conference a few hours ago:

Brees strained his left oblique muscle at practice four days ago and has seen limited action at training camp since then. Today the team uploaded this video to Vine that shows Brees taking part in stretching drills with the rest of the players:

The Saints have not made a decision yet as to whether or not Brees will play Friday, and he is currently listed as day-to-day.
