Giants president John Mara participates in the Ice Bucket Challenge

The Ice Bucket Challenge is a new craze that has taken the internet by storm. It’s simple really, with people being challenged to be doused in buckets of ice water on video for the sake of ALS Awareness. When a person has completed the challenge, they nominate others to do the same in hopes. Should they refuse to partake in the challenge, they are asked to make a donation to an ALS charity.

The viral sensation has apparently reached celebrity status now, as Giants wideout Victor Cruz got president John Mara to contribute to the Ice Bucket Challenge on Monday.

After having a Gatorade bucket of ice water dumped over his head by Cruz, Mara nominated Jets owner Woody Johnson, Patriots owner Robert Kraft and head coach Bill Belichick to complete the challenge next. We’ll keep you posted if any of them choose to follow through on their end.
