Twitter Tuesday: Ryan Mallett fails to meet expectations

Coming out of a game where over half of the starters didn’t play, the biggest story involved Ryan Mallett, someone everybody had been praising as a future starter all week. Unfortunately, for all the good words said about Mallett over the course of the first week of training camp, he didn’t live up to any of them against the Redskins.

He finished five for 12, for 55 yards and no touchdowns or interceptions.

While his performance may not have destroyed his trade value, it has definitely put a dent in it.
