1) WR, Kyle Williams
Kyle Williams seems to be recovering from his second career ACL tear well, as he has had arguably the best camp of all the receivers thus far. The ex-49er has made some very impressive grabs and is beginning to showcase the potential that was seen in San Francisco prior to his injuries. If Williams continues to play well and can manage to stay healthy, he has an excellent shot at making the team.
2) SS, Malcolm Bronson
After spending the 2013-2014 season on the Chiefs practice squad, Bronson has been a very pleasant surprise for Kansas City in camp thus far. The absence of Sanders Commings and retirement of Steve Gregory have resulted in an expanded role for Bronson, and he’s taken advantage of that opportunity. After a strong preseason performance and another impressive week of camp, things are looking up for the second year safety.
3) OG, Ricky Henry
Ricky Henry has a lot going for him right now. The four-year veteran is recovering quite nicely from a season ending injury last season, took reps with the first team offense this past week, and made national headlines (http://cover32.com/chiefs/2014/08/12/twitter-tuesday-andy-reid-says-a-kansas-city-chiefs-backup-looks-like-larry-the-cable-guy/) due to Andy Reid’s high praise of the way he plays the game of football. That is about as good as a week can get for a player fighting for a roster spot in the NFL.
