Andrew Luck has led the Indianapolis Colts to back-to-back 11-5 seasons in his first two years in the league, both playoff appearances.
There is no arguments that Luck has the skill set and ability to lead his team to a win late in a game. Since his arrival into the NFl, he has been anointed the next great quarterback, and coaches and players from around the league have given high praise of the young man from Stanford.
Add one more player to the list that already believe that Luck, entering his third year, has become one of the elite at quarterback. That man is New York Giants safety Antrel Rolle, a three time Pro Bowler.
Yesterday Rolle told reporters “I think Luck is an elite quarterback, he’s an outstanding young and rising star in the league. I think he possesses great tools and great poise as a quarterback. This is going to be the best test that we’ve done thus far this year with the receiver tandem they do have.”
The Giants will roll into town Saturday to face the Colts. The G-Men have already faced EJ Manuel and Ben Roethlisberger during the preseason, but both teams do not possess the depth and talent at wide receiver that the Colts do. Especially if Reggie Wayne sees his first action of the year.
Rolle will have to content with Luck and company for the entirety of the first quarter Saturday night according to Chuck Pagano.
