Personally, one of the biggest questions regarding Marlon Brown is his true level of athleticism.
Coming into camp last year, he was ahead of his recovery schedule from a torn ACL suffered late in his senior season at Georgia. There was the sense that he was still getting his legs underneath him, and there is reason to believe he wasn’t operating at maximum capacity.
Brown clearly possesses fantastic size for a wide receiver, so if he can move as quickly as he does on the basketball court, things should go just fine. He displays lateral agility and quickness that I didn’t know existed, and there is reason to be optimistic about his ability to build on last season. Now a full season removed from his injury, it is going to be interesting to see if he opens up a little in the open field.
Check out Marlon Brown’s impressive all-around game in high school — he would have taken my spot in a heartbeat.
