It may seem fairly insignificant, but the expansion keeps 64 players in football each year. This is good news for some of the undrafted players shining in camp thus far like Branden Oliver and Chris Davis. While we worried Oliver might get claimed by another team, I am starting to like the Bolts’ chances of keeping him and other members of the undrafted rookie class. San Diego had a lot of success last season with undrafted rookie, Jahleel Addae, and Tom Telesco has again proven his scouting skill by bringing in quality talent this year.
With a GM who exceeds in the scouting department, this is good news for the depth and future of the San Diego Chargers.
