The Denver Broncos have the sustained their first season-ending injury.
Jordan Norwood, a wide receiver and return man, is done for the 2014 season per the Denver Post.
Norwood tore his ACL while running and stretching out for a pass from Peyton Manning in practice against the Houston Texans, Wednesday.
The 27-year old receiver played well through the Broncos first two preseason games, catching four passes for 54 yards, including the touchdown against the Seattle Seahawks in Week One. He also had a sweet 17-yard punt return against the San Francisco 49ers in Week Two of the preseason.
That means Andre Caldwell will be expected to step up and could see more playing time.
