VIDEO: Titans do ALS challenge after being nominated by Tim Shaw, who has ALS

A year ago, Tim Shaw was just another NFL player, a linebacker for the Tennessee Titans. And now, he is the latest former professional athlete to be diagnosed with ALS. Shaw announced on Tuesday that he has recently been diagnosed with the disease. He’s fighting back against it, recently participating in the ALS ice-bucket challenge to raise awareness and funding for the ALS foundation.

Before completing the challenge, Shaw decided to nominate the entire Tennessee Titans organization, the team he played for from 2010-2013, before receiving his diagnosis.

On Wednesday, the entire Titans teams decided to accept Shaw’s nomination and complete the challenge, while a couple players held up Shaw’s old #59 jersey.

Well done all around.
