Dolphins cut roster down to 75

By 4 o’clock on Tuesday afternoon, Miami had to cut players to take the roster from 90 players, down to 75. While releases are still slowly coming out, there have been a few recognizable names let go already.

The Dolphins cut ties with quarterback Brady Quinn after being on the team for about a week. It can be assumed that the Dolphins are going to keep two QBs on their active roster, with Seth Lobato making the practice squad.

Armon Binns is another player who has been cut by the Dolphins. Wide Receiver Damian Williams has been playing very well this entire preseason while Binns has gotten little to no press. Binns was known as a guy who was almost there, if he didn’t face a few season ending injuries over the last few seasons he could have been a solid player.

The Dolphins also waived Tight End Brett Bracket, Corner Steven Clark, Defensive end Rakim Cox, Tackle Cory Grissom, Center Tyler Larsen, and receiver Ryan Spadola. To go along with the roster cuts, the Dolphins also placed Defensive Tackle A.J. Francis, Running Back Mike Gillislee, and Tight End Arthur Lynch on injured reserve.
