Gus Bradley answers critics over decision to start Chad Henne at quarterback

It’s pretty obvious to anyone who has watched rookie quarterback Blake Bortles play this preseason that he’s ready to start in the NFL. The Jacksonville Jaguars made him the number three overall pick in the draft for a reason, so why aren’t they starting him?

Head coach Gus Bradley was asked that very question by Peter King of Sports Illustrated. Here’s what he had to say:

So… experience? Whatever dude.

For now Jags fans will just have to accept that, but if Henne runs into any trouble Bradley shouldn’t be surprised to find a mutiny on his hands.
