Tom Savage, a rookie fourth-round pick out of Pittsburgh, got his chance to shine as quarterback for the Texans on Saturday when they visited the Denver Broncos.
Trailing 17-10 late in the fourth, Savage led his team on a 74-yard drive that took nine plays and lasted 3:26. Savage connected with Ryan Griffin for a 31-yard touchdown before delivering the knockout punch to Travis Labhart, for a successful two-point conversion to win the game 18-17.
