Dallas Cowboys cut 21, including a few surprises

Dallas, TX – The Dallas Cowboys have officially made their cuts and are beginning to work the phone lines in order to claim some guys that can help the team with depth before the start of the season. The full list as follows thanks to our pal Bryan Broaddus:

The Cowboys already traded with Tennessee for the rights to DE Lavar Edwards. The hope is that after the atrocious game for these backups against the Denver Broncos, the Cowboys will work diligently to bring in some better depth on both sides of the ball as Dallas is looking a little top-heavy. Edwards could come in right away and compete for a role along this ailing defensive line.

Also to note, in a bit of a surprise Cowboy fan-favorite QB Dustin Vaughan will not get a chance to clear waivers because he’s a full-fledged Cowboy.

I’m disappointed about Micheal Sam release of him I hope someone picks him up he is a great player and is also a great player yes he’s new and needs to play in order to get better he needs to play. He has a big heart but he can kick your butt with practice. I hope the fact he came out was why they release. If anyone thinks he’s the first Gay guy in pro football, basketball, or any other sports is crazy because they are alot of others in all sports.Micheal I’m proud of you and I hope someone picks you up. Yes pro sports is a tough world to get into in any sport. I wish him the best but I don’t think any team would have taken him and given him a chance and then dump him for any other reason than he just wasn’t good enough at what they wanted. We have to remember people who won trouphies in college and awards sometimes are not able to make it in pro football. College is a great training ground but is just not the pros that is just life.
