A look at the Philadelphia Eagles final 53 man roster

Yesterday the Philadelphia Eagles made their final cuts and trimmed their roster down to 53 players in anticipation of the start of the regular season. Now we know exactly who will be suiting up in black and midnight green next Sunday.

Here are all the players who made the cut:

Quarterbacks: Nick Foles, Mark Sanchez, Matt Barkley

Running backs: LeSean McCoy, Darren Sproles, Chris Polk

Wide receivers: Josh Huff, Riley Cooper, Jordan Matthews, Jeremy Maclin, Brad Smith, Jeff Maehl

Tight ends: Brent Celek, Zach Ertz, Trey Burton, James Casey

Offensive line: Matt Tobin, Andrew Gardner, Dennis Kelly, Jason Peters, Allen Barbre, Evan Mathis, Todd Herremans, Jason Kelce, David Molk

Defensive line: Fletcher Cox, Vinny Curry, Cedric Thornton, Beau Allen, Bennie Logan, Brandon Bair, Taylor Hart

Linebackers: Casey Matthews, Najee Good, Brandon Graham, Bryan Braman, Trent Cole, DeMeco Ryans, Marcus Smith, Mychal Kendricks, Connor Barwin

Cornerbacks: Brandon Boykin, Bradley Fletcher, Cary Williams, Jaylen Watkins, Nolan Carroll

Safeties: Malcolm Jenkins, Earl Wolff, Nate Allen, Chris Maragos

Special Teams:

Kicker: Cody Parkey

Punter: Donnie Jones

Longsnapper: Jon Dorenbos

The biggest surprise to me is seeing Chris Polk make the cut when we saw so little of him during the preseason, especially considering how well Matthew Tucker and Henry Josey performed. My guess is that the decision to keep four tight ends forced one of them out.

Alright, now that that’s settled, can we play some real football finally?
