While stars such as Tom Brady, Rob Gronkowski, Julian Edelman, Chandler Jones, Jamie Collins, and Devin McCourty will garner much of the attention as usual, there are compelling battles that will go on throughout training camp and the preseason as players fight for a coveted spot on the 53-man roster.

As always with a Bill Belichick team, there is an undrafted free agent, late round draft pick, or unheralded offseason scrap heap signing who plays their way onto the roster.
