Fans rejoice. The Jacksonville Jaguars have officially fired their head coach Gus Bradley following Sunday’s loss to Houston. Jacksonville blew a double-digit lead before losing by one point., running their losing streak to eight consecutive games.
This move shouldn’t surprise anyone. We all knew Gus Bradley was going to be fired. But the timing and manner in which they went about firing him was surprising to say the least.
Per source, Jaguars decided to fire Gus Bradley this week. They wanted to start the search but didn't want to do it with Gus still employed.

If the previous tweet is true, it will mean that Jacksonville was going to release Bradley following this game, regardless of what the outcome was. The manner in which they lost probably accelerated the termination from tomorrow to tonight. For those who are wondering, it has been reported that Bradley is on the team plane heading back home, rather than having to book his own flight home.
Offensive line coach Doug Marrone is an obvious candidate to replace Bradley for the rest of the season. Marrone has head coaching experience, and was actually successful in Buffalo. General manager Dave Caldwell will name an interim coach tomorrow.
