After having their win streak snapped in New York last week the Lions head to Dallas to play the NFC leading Cowboys. With the Packers hot on their heels in the NFC North, the Lions need to win this game. There’s also a chance they win this game and still miss the playoffs if they lose the NFC North, but their odds of getting a Wild Card spot go way up if they get one more win before the season ends.

Players to Watch

Detroit Lions: Ziggy Ansah

Stopping the run is the Lions primary goal on defense and it’s the only way they can possibly win this game. Ansah has only logged one sack this season and if the Lions are going to win he has to step up and take control of the game. This Cowboys offensive line is the best in football, so the Lions have to get top notch performances out of all of their players if they’re going to have a chance to win.

Dallas Cowboys: Ezekiel Elliot

The Cowboys offense lives and dies by the running game. The Giants are the only team that’s beaten them and they’ve done it by stopping the run and forcing Dak Prescott to beat them through the air.

The Lions aren’t looking like a playoff caliber team and they showed that in New York last week. The Cowboys are a more balanced team offensively than the Giants and on paper have an even better chance of beating the Lions than the Giants did.

Detroit Lions: 17

Dallas Cowboys: 27

The Cowboys could just run all over the Lions, but since they have less at stake in this game they may not even keep their starters in for the whole game. The Lions can put some points on the board but they’re not balanced enough to keep up in a shootout against the Cowboys.
