Chuck Pagano makes a bold statement at the NFL Combine

Can Chuck Pagano change his ways and salvage the Colts season?

It is NFL Combine week and every head coach in the league is required to hold a press conference. And for Indianapolis Colts head coach Chuck Pagano he made a very BOLD statement this morning during his presser.

If you have watched any interview with Chuck over the last five years you can take away one thing. His “Chuck-isms”. Whether that be “chopping wood”, “sticking to the process” and countless others.

That includes the “blinders and earmuffs” saying he has been using. Usually it is given when Andrew Luck has a bad game however. Now he is using it to start the offseason. All just in some light fun.

Pagano did address some of the bigger issues however, including the Colts struggling defense over the last two years.

“Hasn’tĀ gotten there yet.”

Simple enough. The Colts had their worst statistical season in over three decades in 2016. They finished 30th in total yards allowed, 27th in passing defense and 25th in rushing defense.

Luckily for Pagano the 2017 Draft is loaded with defensive talent. Something new GM Chris Ballard has helped build in his previous stops.

And as for their communication? The two are getting along great according to both Ballard and Pagano.
