If you remember correctly, Ryan Grigson (Colts former GM) and Pat never saw eye to eye. In fact, Grigson wanted to cut Pat when he arrived in Indy back in 2012.

Grigson had a problem with communicating with players and coaches. Something Chris Ballard is excelling at thus far.
Of course Ballard wanted to keep the best punter in the NFL on his team. But Pat wanted to seek his career outside of football, and Ballard wished him nothing but the best.
