The purpose of “Ladies Redskins Pulpit” is to give our female fans a “pulpit”, voice to express their opinions about the organization, team, players, coaches, transactions, games, and events. Half of Redskins Nation is made up of Lady Redskins.

Today we have two female all-weather, true Washington Redskins fans using their Ladies Redskins Pulpit. It’s my honor to feature “Moni” and “Jenny”.

Monica Lucero-Boeck @misselviralb is a professional manager and promoter and active in Washington Redskins groups on Facebook and routinely “tweets” current transactions by the Redskins.
“Growing up in New Mexico, we don’t have a football team to call our own. So many people either became Cowboy, Raider, or Broncos Fans. My parents were not “sports” people. But I always remember we would always watch the Super Bowl. I really didn’t get into football until I met my boyfriend who was a huge sports fan. Hockey, soccer, baseball, and football.”

“Watching his love for Washington made me want to learn more, learn the game and the history of the Redskins. Once I learned about the amazing George Starke-“Head Hog”, Russ Grimm-“The Grimm Reaper”, Jeff Bostic-“Bosco”, Mark “May DAY” May, Joe Jacoby “Big Jake”, Don Warren-“The Dutchman” Rick Walker- “Doc” and John Riggins- “Ground Hog, “The Diesel”, Art Monk, The Posse, Gary Clark, Ricky Sanders, Mark Rypien, and Darryl Grant. I was hooked!”

“And let us not forget Sean Taylor, who to me is one of the greatest players of all time. Watching Sean Taylor pick up a fumbled or intercept and run it in for a touchdown. It was so natural for him and watching him was beyond amazing. He will forever be my favorite player. Other players would be Ryan Kerrigan and Pierre Garcon. Coach Joe Gibbs is special. I love the fact the Redskins fans are like one big family. We keep in touch, see how everyone is doing. HTTR.”

That was great Moni.

Now introducing Jenny (HTTR) Toufas @jtoufas, who knows our Washington Redskins team and is an all-weather, loyal fan. She “tweets” about Washington frequently and is an exceptional person, a devout Christian, patriotic, always respecting our Military.

“I was born a Redskins fan. It’s in my DNA. Loved Gi bbs, and have met Darrell Green. Awesome!!! Love my Redskins family all over the USA!!! I am followed by Adam Carriker and Clinton Portis! I could talk forever about my “Skins.”

“My top 2 favorite game plays were Superbowl XVII with Coach Gibbs, Joe Theismann QB and Riggins running the ball. Riggo made a 43 yd TD in the 4th quarter on 4th and 1. It gave Washington the lead and spunk to WIN. That year Riggo’s TD was more yardage than the Dolphins had the entire 2nd half.”

“The other game was jan 10, 1988 when Darrell Green the awesome cornerback was playing in the extreme cold conditions at Chicago. The score was 14-0 and 11:40 left in the 3rd quarter. Green made a punt return of all ages. With his quickness, skill, and vision he returned the punt for 52 yards. He had torn his ribcage and ade another play to beat the Bears 21-17. Green gave us 20 years! My all-time favorite. Loved Riggo too. Anytime the Redskins beat the Cowboys I am happy. Cowboys are my least favorite team in the NFL. Anytime I am at FedEx, I feel like I am home. Redskins fans are the BEST! HTTR.”

Thank you Ladies. More Ladies Redskins Pulpit articles forthcoming. In Redskins Nation, everyone is important and is worthy of respect and recognition. We are the true “America’s Team.”
