19 years ago today the Indianapolis Colts were hoping to turn their franchise around.
Outside of the 1995 season, the Colts had been a bottom dweller team since moving to Indianapolis.
After a dismal 1997 season, the Colts held the first overall pick in the 1998 draft. And general manager Bill Polian and owner Jim Irsay were hoping to land their franchise player.
And that first pick would completely turn the Colts around.

Of course, Polian and Irsay had no idea that Manning would turn into one of the greatest of all-time.
Peyton holds several NFL record and almost every Colts record that a quarterback can have. And without Peyton, the team might have moved by now. So here is to one of the greatest Colts players of all-time.
