cover32 Packers Managing Editor, Bobby Burack, sits down with draft prospect Keyso Moss ahead of the 2017 NFL Draft.

Keyso Moss is a defensive lineman, as well as a fullback out of Missouri S&T hoping to hear his named called in the upcoming NFL Draft. The 6’1″, 290 pound Miner is fast off the line and is not afraid to endure any sort of pain.

According to Draft Diamonds, overall “Moss plays with the tenacity you want in a defensive tackle. He explodes and attacks lineman by either setting them up or attacking their hands. There are some technique things that Moss must clean up, mainly the balance issue. But there’s a great deal of potential in a guy like him. While teams are looking for the next Geno Atkins or Aaron Donald, Moss’ game seems to be inspired by them. He’s been versatile and does whatever the team asks him to, whether on offense or defense. He possesses great football knowledge and doesn’t get confused. If Moss can continue to work on technique with his footwork, he could very well be a small school gem for a team.

Moss: During the NFL Draft season, there is a lot that goes into the preparation, as well as all the uncertainty. Not only for the players but coaches, GMs, executives, as well as players who could lose their job that is currently in the NFL. Explain what the past few months have been like. The past few months have been very long and stressful . The reason it has been so stressful because some teams might be looking at you but just want tell you. You work for this moment all your life so once your senior year over it seems like it takes forever for the time to come to see where you will continue to chase your dream at.

Burack: Many GMs have recently stated that they look for a player who can bring versatility to the new style of the NFL. You are listed as a DT, would and can you play other positions?

Moss: Many GMs have recently stated that they look for a player who can bring versatility to the new style of the NFL. You are listed as a DT, would and can you play other positions?  Yes I would do anything to put the team in position to win and I also played fullback so the versatility is there.

Burack: When was the first moment you realized you could make the NFL? What was that moment like?

Moss: When I was balling and like mid season The 49ers called the school looking for players and my coach gave them my player profile at that moment I realize I’m not the only one thinking that I have the attributes to play at the next level.

Burack:  You had stated last summer, you had helped train high school students, is this something you plan to do in the future?

Moss: Yes, in the future I want to be a coach or a trainer. I really enjoy training people and watch them grow as a person on and off the field.

Burack:  Is there a team in the NFL that you would prefer over the others?

Moss: I don’t prefer any team I’m just bless to be considered by any and ready to give everything I have for them.

Burack: What was the best and worst part of your college football experience?

Moss: The best part was catching my first touchdown pass and the worse experience was losing on senior night I mean I just would have like to go out on top.

Burack: What type of defenses can you succeed in?

Moss: I could succeed in any defense but would make a lot of plays in a attack defense.

Burack: What player have you modeled your game at the most?

Moss: At defensive tackle Aaron Donald, Gene Atkins and Warren Sapp and at fullback Nikita Whitlock and Jerome Bettis

Burack: What is something most people would be surprised to know about you?

Moss: That I have if not better as good footwork as a receiver and strength of a defensive lineman.
