Former Ram, number #1 overall pick, Jake Long retires


Today, former Ram offensive tackle Jake Long retired from the NFL after nine seasons.

Long, who played collegiality at the University of Michigan, played with the Dolphins, Rams, Falcons and Rams during his NFL career.

Long was the first overall pick in the 2008 NFL draft to the Miami Dolphins. After his time in Miami, he signed with the Rams.

In March of 2013, Long signed a 4-year, 36 million dollar contract with the Rams, but would only make it through one season, before being released.

During his career, Long made the Pro Bowl four times, and was All-Pro once.
