Former Kansas City Chief wide receiver Jeremy Maclin has been hard sought-after since his release from Kansas City.

The Baltimore Ravens and Buffalo Bills are especially interested in Maclin and have both already had visits with him. Neither visit has yet garnered a deal to this point, however.

It was largely believed earlier in the week that Maclin would not leave Buffalo without a deal. But when he did it was to the delight of Ravens fans.

Former Ravens receiver Steve Smith met with Maclin to encourage him to sign with the Ravens. Maclin’s visit with the Ravens did not lead to a deal however, despite reports that the visit went well.

According to head coach John Harbaugh, Maclin plans to wait to make his decision as his wedding is this weekend.

“He’s going to go back. We didn’t press him to stay,” Harbaugh said. “I think talking to his wife is really important. He’s got a wedding this weekend, so he wants a little more time to make up his decision. … The main thing is, you want guys to be happy. If they come here, or wherever they go, you want them to look back and say, ‘I made the best decision of my life to do that.'”

Maclin would be a great fit with the Ravens, and they should be pushing hard to sign him.
