2016 Raiders Season Review: Top 10 plays of the 2016 Season

The Oakland Raiders reintroduced themselves to the NFL. As a result, the Silver and Black 2016 highlight film could take a while to view.  From overtime touchdown catches to strip sack recoveries to seal a victory, the Raiders rarely disappointed. In chronological order, to get us pumped up for the upcoming season!

Jalen Richard 75 yard touchdown run – Week 1 @ New Orleans

Richard dashes through the heart of the Saints defense and breaks several tackles in route to the longest rushing play for the 2016 season.

Michael Crabtree two point conversion reception – Week 1 @ New Orleans

The play the set the tone for the rest of the season, a back shoulder fade perfectly thrown by Carr to Crabtree gave the Raiders their first week 1 victory since 2011.

Michael Crabtree 23 yard touchdown reception – Week 2 @ Baltimore

Crabtree’s third touchdown of the game gave the Raiders the lead in the fourth quarter and ultimately was the game winner against the Ravens.

Latavius Murray 22 yard touchdown run – Week 3 @ Tennessee

Murray gashes the Titans defense right up the middle for the first quarter touchdown. In a game that ended 17-10, Murray’s early touchdown was pivotal in the win against Tennessee.

Seth Roberts 41 yard touchdown reception – Week 8 @ Tampa Bay

With less than two minutes left in the overtime period, Carr throws a strike over the middle to Roberts. Robert continues the play by breaking two tackles at the 25 yard line and sprints into the end zone for the game winning touchdown.


Jamize Olawale 75 yard touchdown reception – Week 11 against Houston in Mexico City

Down 20-13 early in the fourth quarter, Olawale’s wheel route out of the backfield shifted the momentum back in favor of the Raiders and gave some much needed life into the offense.

Amari Cooper 35 yard touchdown reception – Week 11 against Houston in Mexico City

Set up by Roberts’ great block, Cooper turned a quick out route into the game winning touchdown to give the Raiders a 27-20 victory.

Khalil Mack six yard interception return for a touchdown – Week 12 vs. Carolina

Mack read the running back screen attempt perfectly and trotted into the end zone for his first career touchdown.


Khalil Mack sack and forced fumble – Week 12 vs. Carolina

After Cam Newton and company rallied back from a 24-7 halftime deficit to within three points, Mack seals the game for the Raiders with a strip sack recovery under two minutes.

Michael Crabtree 13 yard touchdown reception – Week 15 @ San Diego

With 27 seconds left in the first half and down 10-3, Crabtree got two feet down f. The play was initially called incomplete, but a challenge by Head Coach Jack Del Rio reversed the call on the field.
