This years’ Jaguars offense could be a different one than the last couple of seasons. We could see turnovers be limited, rushing yards increasing and passing yards improve. The Jaguars have been a passing offense with quarterback Blake Bortles because the running game has been an issue.
Now, Leonard Fournette is in town and is prepared to make his mark on the league. the number four pick overall in this years’ draft is ready to take over the running game and contribute to the offense. He will help the running game in a big way, but will also help out with the passing game as well.

Fournette is most likely to be the starter for the Jags at running back but they have depth with Chris Ivory and T.J. Yeldon. Ivory and Yeldon won’t be carrying the ball every time like they were last season, but will still find a way to help the offense. With the running game between these three, we could very well see Bortles and his receivers turn into a dangerous passing offense.
Since there hasn’t been a main back in Jacksonville in recent years, the offense has relied on Bortles and the passing game which hasn’t been as successful as they hoped. All the pressure was on Bortles and he has yet to live up the expectations. Having a running back who will do the dirty work and help out the offense is what Bortles just may need.
If a quarterback has a great running back who can do damage on the ground, then the passing game has more of a chance to do well as well. I think Fournette will be able to boost up the offense and get momentum going which will allow Bortles to utilize his receivers in Allen Robinson and Allen Hurns set up the offense to score instead of turn the ball over. Definitely be on the lookout for this Jaguars offense, because they should be in for a great year.
