Football is finally back! Preseason or not, it’s still going to be nice to finally see some kind of action that isn’t training camp. The Denver Broncos will play the Chicago Bears in their first game in a match up where Broncos fans will be able to see how well their team could do this upcoming season.

The Broncos shouldn’t struggle against a rebuilding Bears team, but it will be interesting to see how certain players perform tonight. With still many questions that need to be answered for the Broncos, who are players that fans should keep an eye on?

Quarterback – Trevor Siemian

With the quarterback position battle going on for weeks now, Vance Joseph has decided to give Siemian the first start. He was the starter last year and did fairly well, but missed the playoffs. Now he could get his second chance to improve and show that he is worthy of leading the team. He gets to make his case first towards Joseph on why he deserves to be the Broncos quarterback.

Quarterback – Paxton Lynch

The other quarterback trying to grab the starting job. Going into his sophmore year, Lynch has nowhere but to go up from this point. He has showed signs of starting potential, but still can’t seem to push through it. He’ll get the second team reps against the Bears and work his way up to the first team. Lynch was drafted in the first round last year and Broncos fans were hoping he could possibly be the starter. Siemian may lead the way in the position battle now, but if Lynch outperforms Siemian then we could see a change.

Offensive Tackle – Garett Bolles

The Broncos first round draft choice in this years’ draft has shown the team that he can play. Bolles will get the start at left tackle against the Bears and hopefully keep it like that once Week 1 comes around. I wasn’t too sure if the Broncos made the right choice on drafting Bolles but he has been consistent and is improving everyday, now he’ll get his chance to show us all.
