Who is ready for some Arizona Cardinals Saturday night football!?

Tonight the Oakland Raiders will visit the Arizona Cardinals in a showdown in the desert!
So what should fans be watching for in tonight’s matchup?

Starting Cornerback Opposite Patrick Peterson

Patrick Peterson is a stud. No surprise. Voted the number one overall cornerback by the players in the NFL Top 100 series, Peterson sticks to his guys and takes them out. Think of Peterson has those annoying internet ads that follow internet users everywhere. They know the internet users’ tendencies. Peterson does the same to the receivers he covers. Receivers may think they have the upper hand, but Peterson knows exactly what they are planning. The same cannot be said for the other side of the field. The starting cornerback job opposite Peterson is up for grabs.

Guys that are fighting for this position include: Sojourn Shelton, Brandon Williams, Justin Bethel, and Tramon Williams among others. None of these guys played particular well a week ago, so it will be interesting to see if one of them can emerge as the starter.

So far it appears that Bethel is in the lead to solidify himself as the teams’ number two corner. He is a guy to definitely keep an eye on to see if he is deserving of that role. But if he falters do not be surprised if Tramon or Brandon Williams takes his spot.

Wide Receiver Chad Williams… All the Way Up?

Basically anyone with the name Williams is worth watching in tonight’s game. Chad Williams in particular is a player that fans definitely need to keep a close eye on. Williams is moving up the depth chart. On the official Arizona Cardinals depth chart Williams has moved up to the number five wide receiver overall. To be more specific, he has also moved up to the third overall receiver on one side of the field.

With John Brown likely not playing because of an injury and most starters seeing limited time, Williams should see significant snaps in tonight’s game. But Williams unfortunately is dealing with a shin injury himself and is questionable for tonight’s game. If he ends up missing time, Brittan Golden could be slotted to receive that playing time.

Kerwynn Williams…For the Win?

Another player that needs some tender loving care is Kerwynn Williams. Yes, another Williams. Williams is segmenting himself as not only the number two option at running back, but the number one option returning kicks and punts. With TJ Logan on the shelf with a wrist injury, Williams should see some action tonight.

Ironhead Gallon

This last player does not have the name Williams, but his name is way better. Ironhead Gallon. An undrafted free agent out of Georgia Southern the linebacker turned strong safety is facing a massive uphill battle to make the team. However, right now he is the team’s third string strong safety. A very physical player look for Gallon to make a big hit on special teams or defense in hopes of raising some eyebrows from the coaching staff. He wears number 47. And the man is jacked.
