Chad Englehart is the Head of Strength and Conditioning for the Washington Redskins. Although 2017 is his first year in charge of strength and conditioning, Englehart has been with the Redskins since 2010 as assistant strength and conditioning coach.
He earned a Master’s Degree in human movement and a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology. Kinesiology is the study of movements, performance and function by applying the sciences of biomechanics, anatomy, physiology, psychology and neuroscience. Englehart is certified as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist with the National Strength and Conditioning Association. He is also a Performance Enhancement Specialist and Corrective Exercise Specialist with the National Academy of Sports Medicine. If that is not enough, he is certified with USA Weightlifting and USA Track & Field. Englehart also is certified as a Fitness Nutrition Specialist.
The point is that with Chad Englehart, the players for the Washington Redskins have expert coaching. There are many players, so Chad Englehart has assistants who are exceptional. They are Kavan Latham who has 5 years experience, Jake Sankal who is an assistant and also a nutritionist, and Deuce Gruden, son of Jon Gruden and Jay Gruden’s nephew. Deuce Gruden joined the Redskins as an assistant strength and conditioning coach in 2016 and helped them produce 5 Pro Bowlers. He is very qualified and is a powerlifter and won Gold at the International Powerlifting Federation’s World Classic Powerlifting Championships in Belarus this year, 2017.
