Philadelphia Eagles 10-man practice squad announced

Despite not making the 53-man squad, 10 Eagles potentials did snag spots on the 10-man practice team. Notably, wide receiver Greg Ward gets a spot. Bryce Treggs has the honors of landing on the practice unit too. Of the 10 practice squad players, nine were with the Eagles during training camp. It’s Nate Sudfeld, a quarterback hailing from the University of Indiana, that joins the team after being released by Washington. Sudfeld was a sixth-round pick in 2016.

  • C/G Josh Andrews
  • LB Nathan Gerry
  • T Dillon Gordon
  • DT Justin Hamilton
  • TE Billy Brown
  • WR Bryce Treggs
  • QB Nate Sudfeld
  • CB C.J. Smith
  • RB Byron Marshall
  • WR Greg Ward

Out of the players on the practice team, it’s possible QB Sudfeld may see playing time if first-string QB Carson Wentz gets hurt and backup Nick Foles is still sidelined with an injury. Some fans postulate that Treggs may see playing time during the season if he’s able to prove his worth in practice. But don’t expect much playing time from the practice squad barring a major injury or underperformance from one of the 53-man main roster.
