With the home opener just days away, the 2017 NFL season is finally here. For the fifth time in their franchise’s history, the Patriots will be defending a Super Bowl Championship. Injuries have hampered the Patriots thus far during training camp, most notably season long absence for players such as Julian Edelman, Derek Rivers, and Cyrus Jones.

The Patriots released their first injury report of the season, with a couple noticeable absences. Dont’a Hightower and Nate Solder, both of which missed significant time during the offseason, were not listed on the report. Each seems ready to hit the ground running on Thursday night.
