Here is a look at historical statistics for the Oakland Raiders versus the Tennessee Titans.

These two franchises have played each other 45 times. The Raiders have won twenty-five of those contests while the Titans have won twenty times.

The Raiders are undefeated against the Titans in the playoffs. They have beaten the Titans four times.

NFL teams play divisional opponents twice each season. Each division matches up with one NFC division and one AFC division to play them as opponents. This alternates throughout the league each successive year. The remaining two games are decided by matching with two teams in the other AFC divisions that were ranked similarly. For example, the third ranked team in the AFC South versus the third ranked team in the AFC North.

Despite the NFL’s formula for varying schedules, the Raiders and Titans have faced each other ten times since the year 2000. The week one matchup will be the eleventh time in seventeen years. The Raiders have only hosted the game four of those eleven times.


During the 2007 matchup, Vince Young only completed six passes for a total of 42 yards.

During the 2015 matchup, the Titans only rushed for 44 yards.

During the 2002 matchup, the Titans only rushed for 43 yards.

During the 2003 matchup, the Raiders only ran for 34 yards.


The Titans passed for 466 yards and scored 35 points against the Raiders in 2004.

The Raiders passed for 374 yards and scored 52 points against the Titans in 2002.
