The Carolina Panthers are 2-1 and so are the New England Patriots. This Sunday we will definitely have ourselves a great matchup between these two teams. The game will be in New England and it will be interesting to see how the Panthers will stop the Patriots offense. If the Panthers defense prevents New England from scoring then it is possible that Carolina will win and it will be a low scoring game! Carolina has Luke Kuechly, Julius Peppers, and Thomas Davis who are more than capable to cause turnovers and create three and outs on a good offense. Even though the Panthers lost to the Saints last weekend they are extremely motivated to go to Boston and put on a show. Carolina is the underdog in this game and maybe that is just what they need to beat the Pats.

Kelvin Benjamin avoided a serious injury last weekend and he will play against the Patriots. He is a key player for the Panthers because Newton knows Benjamin can leap high and catch any pass intended for him. Kelvin Benjamin had his worst game of the season last Sunday with 2 receptions for 8 yards. The Saints stopped Carolina’s offense from flowing and they need to make sure the Panthers offense starts gaining yards from the start against the Pats. Benjamin and Funchess need to get open for Newton because it can lead to an unstoppable offense for the Panthers. In the worst case if no one is open for Cam then he will run out of the pocket or continue to give the ball to Stewart or McCaffrey. Cam Newton is motivated and he wants to leave Boston with a win.

Luke Kuechly had a rare moment last weekend when he dropped an interception in his hands. It was just a rough day for the whole Panthers defense and offense. In order to get a win in New England Luke Kuechly needs to get in Tom Brady’s face and sack him. Tom Brady is one of the leagues best quarterbacks and he has to get interrupted with our defense! Kuechly is an amazing linebacker and it will be even better if he intercepts Brady. He had one interception so far this season. Julius Peppers already has 2.5 sacks from the first three games and I am sure he will be looking for more this weekend. Peppers is a phenomenal player and he still has a lot of gas in his tank. If the Patriots don’t get their offensive line ready then Peppers will slice through them and get to Brady quickly. Last but not least we cannot forget about Thomas Davis who wants to win it all with Carolina this year. This Panthers defense is talented and they need to show New England how good they are on Sunday!

PREDICTION:
My prediction is that if Carolina can hold the Patriots from scoring then it will be a close game. The defense has to show up and that will give the Panthers a chance to win the game. Cam Newton needs to get his game together and pass the ball well avoiding any interceptions. I feel pretty confident with the Panthers and I think the final score will be 14-13 with Carolina winning. Keep Pounding!
