One of the main reasons the Eagles have jumped out to a 5-1 start to start this season has been the play of their defensive line. Tomorrow night versus the Redskins, the Eagles defensive line can overpower the Washington Redskins and help lead the Eagles to victory.

Firstly, let’s not overlook the Redskins’ offensive line. For the most part, after the week one matchup, the Redskins offensive line has kept quarterback Kirk Cousins clean. On the year, they have allowed just eight sacks and four of those happened at the expense of Eagles.
The Eagles defensive line is one tough line to deal with. In fact, there are not many teams in the NFL with a defensive line better than the Eagles. This group makes things very uncomfortable for opposing quarterback, when you go up against the likes of Fletcher Cox, Brandon Graham, Timmy Jernigan and co., you’re going to have a bad game.
However, it is not just the quarterback that is affected by this defensive line. Through their efforts, the Eagles have the second-best run defense in the NFL, allowing just 65.7 yards a game. Running backs struggle to get yards on the Eagles, only Kansas City Chief running back has run for more than 40 yards on the Eagles defense.
The Eagles defensive line sets the tone for the Eagles and if they come out strong again like they have all season, the Eagles will win this game. This unit is game-changing and has a massive influence on the game, expect them to make some big plays for the Eagles tomorrow.
