The Rams need for someone new on the edge is quite evident. Robert Quinn has played very poorly this season as he hasn’t been able to adjust to the 3-4 thus far. Les Snead and company should consider cutting or trading him to save a lot of money if he doesn’t restructure. Connor Barwin has also had a subpar season and is up there in age. Earlier in the year, I had edge rusher Bradley Chubb as my prospect spotlight. He is projected to go in the first round so now it is time to take a look at some people who should be available on day two.

Lorenzo Carter is a name who falls under a lot of people’s radar. He is a senior who has put up some respectable stats in his college career. After watching his tape against Notre Dame this year, I automatically fell in love. It seemed like every play Carter was in the back field wreaking havoc. He had seven tackles, a sack, and two forced fumbles against a great Notre Dame team. Carter is listed at 6’6’’ and he weighs 242 pounds. That is perfect size for a 3-4 linebacker, which he plays at Georgia. He stands up a lot which is exactly what the Rams need. Carter is having an outstanding senior season so far as he has racked up four sacks and 31 tackles through eight games. If Carter had consistency throughout his college career he would be a first rounder no doubt. He can also use a couple of more pounds to make him more beefy for the next level. All-in-all, Lorenzo Carter looks like he can be a steal in this draft as he is an absolute specimen. The Rams only have one pick on day two which is a third rounder, so they might have to trade up into the second if they want to get him. Cross your fingers he can make it to the team, Rams fans.
