Eight Cheap Buys in DraftKings for Week 11
Andrew Erickson, back again helping you find those value players to finish setting your lineups. You know this is the week you are going to win big so here is the guide to getting those cheap players. This article lists eight great players that are on the cheap this week in DraftKings for Week 11.
QB Ryan Fitzpatrick: TB @ MIA
Our first cheap QB of the week, Fitzpatrick disappointed last week against the Jets. That being said many people will be off of him for that reason, which is why I think he is a great play in DFS. Low ownership percentage combined with the fact that he will be getting WR Mike Evans back in the lineup is huge. Back in Week 6, when Fitzpatrick had Evans he scored 22.6 DratKings points. Over the last four weeks the Dolphins have allowed the fourth most fantasy points to the QB position.
QB Blake Bortles: JAX @ CLE
Oh the Cleveland Browns. Seems like any player that plays them is set for a descent fantasy day. This season the Browns have allowed the seventh most fantasy point to the QB position and more specifically the fourth most touchdowns. Bortles is cheap and it is not expensive to stack him some of the other Jacksonville skill players. However, there is a weather warning for this game for high winds, so stay tuned into that. If the wind is over 20 mph it definitely limits his upside. That being said, if the weather outside in Cleveland is frightful, find a more delightful matchup indoors with Blaine Gabbert in Houston. Gabbert priced at $4,900 also has a great matchup against the Texans who have a good run defense, but poor pass defense. The Texans have allowed the fifth most fantasy points to the QB over the last four weeks and have allowed over 1100 passing yards in that time frame. Gabbert also has running ability that should not be forgotten about, so there is some safety there as well.
Latavius Murray: MIN vs LAR
The Rams cannot stop the run. They have allowed the third most fantasy points to the RB position this season. Murray has seen consistent carries every week, totaling at least 15 carries over the last four weeks. With a consistent volume, Murray can be trusted this week against the Los Angeles Rams defense.
Rex Burkhead: NE @ OAK (Mexico)
Burkhead seems to be finding his niche in the Patriots offense. Not only being targeted in the passing game, but also seeing work through carries. The Raiders have allowed the fifth most fantasy points to the RB position this season and the fourth most red zone targets to the RB.
Jamison Crowder: WAS @ NO
With all the injuries plaguing the Redskins wide receivers, Kirk Cousins will be forced to feed Crowder. With Terelle Pryor and Jordan Reed out again, I love for Crowder to feast over the middle of the field in this matchup. Crowder is second to only Chris Thompson in targets and has led the team in targets that last two weeks when he has been healthy. The Saints have allowed the eight fewest fantasy points to the WR position, but have been susceptible against slot receivers. Golden Tate had seven receptions for 96 yards and a touchdown against them in Week 6. Churn the Crowder this week!
Bruce Ellington: HOU vs ARI
You know what team gives up the a lot of fantasy points to number two wide receivers? It’s the Arizona Cardinals. The Cardinals overall, have allowed the sixth most fantasy points to the WR position, but most of the damage has been by the complementary receivers. Kenny Golladay, Brice Butler, Nelson Agholor, Torrey Smith, and Cooper Kupp all had productive days against the Cardinals. With 19 targets over the last two games, Ellington has volume and a great matchup to roll with him.
Marcedes Lewis: JAX @ CLE
I am not sure how much analysis is needed here, but Lewis should have an awesome day against the Browns. They have allowed the third most fantasy points to the TE this season along with the most targets. Lewis is obviously a boom-bust guy, with no consistent floor, but this price and matchup are too much to pass up on. With the weather playing a small factor, Bortles will more often than not check it down to Lewis over the middle. At $2700, he is a high-upside play perfect for DFS.
