Proposed uniform changes for NFL teams is nothing new. Every week, some sort of idea seems to pop up – from radical redesigns to Star Wars themed tweaks to subtle changes. Most are interesting, but fairly laughable.

One new batch, however is worth taking a look at. Jesse Alkire, a freelance graphic artist / designer from Chicago, recently put his spin on each NFL team’s uniform, offering a creative touch to all 32 sets of duds. And most of them are pretty darn cool.

As for the Seattle Seahawks, he didn’t make drastic changes. He explained why on his web site:

“A few small changes streamline a very modern and distinctive uniform for the Seahawks. The garish stripe across the upper chest is removed and the sleeves now feature a feather icon that is used in a consistent manner throughout the entire set. The new sublimated feather pattern, previously only used on the helmet and numbers, is now added to the pants and sleeves.”

Here’s what he came up with:

The obnoxious pieces are gone

Pretty sharp. Who do we need to call to get this done?

  1. Are the 12 feather icons still on the neck and pant leg? That is a tribute that should be kept. That’s what made the last set great.

Leave them how they are!! Did they not just win the Super Bowl with the ones they hve? Who is this Jessie guy and why does he hve any input on possible jersey designs? If it ain’t broke don’t fix it!

The ones we have are perfect….and the new ones look stupid with the lime green shoes. Terrible.

  3. Never mess with your look when you are winning. Save that for the rebuild when you have to keep the fan interest.
